Risk assessment

A sample declared as 3-MMC did not contain 3-MMC but 3-CMC (3-chloromethcathinone, clophedrone) and 1-(3-chlorophenyl)propane-1.4-dione.

3-CMC is a rather newer research chemical (NPS, new psychoactive substance). 3-CMC is a chlorine-substituted cathinone of the amphetamine group. Little information is available on its risks, side effects and long-term consequences. It is assumed that 3-CMC has a very high neurotoxic effect. The chemical structure is similar to 3-MMC and mephedrone (4-MMC) and is often marketed on the internet as a mephedrone substitute. Compared to 3-MMC, 3-CMC is dosed somewhat lower.

1-(3-Chlorophenyl)propane-1.4-dione is a starting material/product for the production of 3-CMC. The interaction potential with 3-CMC is completely unknown.

Due to the lack of scientific studies on 3-CMC and 1-(3-chlorophenyl)propane-1.4-dione, we strongly advise against consumption!

False declarations also occur time and again with powders and crystalline samples; it is therefore essential to have these tested before consumption!

The following information on 3-CMC should be used as a guide only and is not definitive information on use. This information comes from subjective perceptions of users.

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
