Risk assessment

With more than 250 μg (micrograms) of LSD on a felt, even taking half of it can lead to mental overload. Very high doses of LSD increase this risk even for experienced users. Highly intense psychedelic experiences can be induced, which can be disturbing and frightening. Paranoid ideas can also occur. Furthermore, so-called hypersensitivity can occur. Music, light and other stimuli can be perceived as extremely unpleasant. A feeling of body-mind separation can also occur.

The non-psychoactive iso-LSD is formed during the production of LSD (indication of improper synthesis) and/or during prolonged storage under unfavourable conditions (e.g. not under exclusion of light and oxygen) through so-called isomerization. To date, there is no scientific evidence that iso-LSD influences the effects of LSD in any way.

In 2023 , the LSD felts analyzed in the DIZ contained an average of 76.2 μg LSD. However, a higher LSD content is often stated when LSD felts are sold (they are often sold as 200 μg). Due to these misrepresentations, most consumers assume that they are consuming much higher doses than they are actually taking.

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, test a quarter or a third of the felt at the most, as felts are in circulation in very different dosages.

Setting

Pay attention to set and setting. Consume only in places where you feel comfortable and avoid mixed use.

Wait and see

Wait 3 hours after ingestion, as there are always felts with unexpected active ingredients in circulation, which can have a later onset of action.
