Risk assessment

This sample, declared as 3-CMC, contains the new psychoactive substance 4-CMC and a small amount of 4-CMA (4-chloromethamphetamine) instead of 3-CMC .

4-CMC (4-chloromethcathinone; clephedrone) belongs to the group of cathinones and is structurally related to mephedrone (4-MMC) & 3-CMC. 4-CMC is described as having a strong performance-enhancing and euphoric effect. Some users report severe headaches as well as kidney and liver pain on the days following consumption. It is also reported that the substance can trigger a strong urge to re-dose, which increases the potential for addiction. Like 3-CMC, 4-CMC is suspected of being highly neurotoxic. No information is available on further risks, side effects and long-term consequences of 4-CMC.

A small amount of 4-CMA was also detected. 4-CMA is a derivative and prodrug of the substance 4-CA (4-chloroamphetamine). Individual scientific reports indicate that 4-CMA is highly likely to have neurotoxic effects on the human body. No information is available on further risks, side effects and long-term consequences of 4-CMA.

Due to the possible neurotoxic effects of 4-CMC and 4-CMA, we advise against their consumption. Unknown side effects and long-term consequences cannot be ruled out, especially with regular consumption.

With powders and crystals, false declarations occur time and again; therefore, be sure to have these substances tested!

Analysis

Have your substances tested in a Drug Checking

Testing

If you do not have the possibility to have substances analysed, always test a small amount to avoid overdoses.

Wait and see

Wait 2 hours after oral intake, as there are always powders / crystals in circulation with unexpected active ingredients, which can have a later onset of action.

Utensils

Always use your own sniffing utensils when applying powders nasally (sniffing) to avoid infecting yourself or others with diseases.
